Is a pneumatic cylinder repair worth it, or should I buy a new one?
If the body tube and rod are sound, repair/overhaul is almost always more economical and gives the cylinder a long second life. If the tube is deeply scored or out of tolerance, an equivalent new build may be the better call. We present both options with their prices at the survey.
How long does an overhaul take?
A standard cylinder's seal overhaul is usually finished the same day or the next. If rod manufacturing or tube honing is needed, it can take a few more days; lead time is confirmed after teardown. Urgent jobs are prioritised.
Do you do on-site repairs?
Yes. Within Izmir, our team comes to your facility; if the fault can be fixed on the spot, we handle it there, and if it needs the workshop, we remove the cylinder, take it in, and refit it after the overhaul. There's no charge for the survey.
Do you service every brand of pneumatic cylinder?
Yes. We service cylinders from both domestic and foreign manufacturers. On older models where the original seal kit isn't available, we source a suitable sealing set or manufacture the part in-house — cylinders turned away with 'no part available' are exactly our area of expertise.
What happens if the same fault comes back after a repair?
Our workmanship is guaranteed: if a workmanship-related issue arises under correct operating conditions, we fix it free of charge. We also report the root cause of the fault (dirty air, misalignment, wrong pressure) and share recommendations to prevent a repeat.
Do I pay separately for a leak survey?
The survey and diagnosis are free within Izmir. Leak points are identified and repair options are presented with pricing; you only pay for the work you approve.
Can you quote a price without disassembling the cylinder?
We can give you a rough range, but a firm quote comes after teardown and damage assessment. A price given without opening it up usually comes out either too low or too high. The assessment itself is free; if you don't approve, your cylinder is reassembled and returned.
We have a lot of cylinders at our facility — do you do batch maintenance?
Yes, we run batch overhauls and periodic maintenance programmes. Seal sets on critical cylinders are renewed on a planned schedule, and leak surveys are run on the line. Downtime then happens once, in a planned window, and unplanned failures drop to a minimum.
I can't remove my cylinder myself — what should I do?
Our team comes to your facility within Izmir and handles the removal. If the cylinder needs the workshop, we take it in and refit it after the overhaul. We manage the removal, transport and installation — your team doesn't need to be tied up.
Does it make sense to keep a spare cylinder?
Absolutely, for critical lines. When a fault happens, the spare goes in and the failed unit gets overhauled at a relaxed pace — downtime drops to nearly zero. We offer planning support on which cylinders are worth keeping a spare for.
What seal material do you use in an overhaul?
We choose based on the cylinder's operating conditions: temperature, chemical exposure, washdown and cycle count are the deciding factors. 'Just fit the same one' isn't always right — if the original seal failed early, it may not have suited the environment.
If the problem isn't the cylinder, do you still charge?
The survey and diagnosis are free within Izmir. If we find the fault is in a valve, muffler or the line itself, we'll tell you and quote separately for that fix. We don't have you replace parts unnecessarily.
